Note from Me:
I have great reservations about the "craze" caused by the book and movie THE SECRET.
While I believe that focusing your intentions is one of the greatest tools for achievement,
I also believe that without ACTION, there is little change in the status quo. You cannot
"think" and heal the world. You actually have to DO something to help that happen. Consciousness
is LAME without action, that is why we are dimensional beings- to actually affect the world through
our actions. Even if it is only to pick up a newspaper and read what is going on in other places...
or make a phone call to City Hall, or help your kid with his homework or help at the homeless shelter or
rescue a mistreated dog or child...
and especially not to plead "ignorance" in order to be "peaceful". If you do that, you are taking your
bliss on the back of someone else's suffering. For example, Darfur...do you actually KNOW what
is going on there? Do you care? I can just imagine some poor woman or child, having just suffered the
horrors of a gang rape, wondering why the rest of the world isn't doing anything. Maybe we will just have to
answer her: "they're busy contemplating their navels". -JG
